Kneeling Hip Flexor Stretch with Band

Muscles Involved: Hip flexors

Instructions

  • Get on a knee and place the other leg out in front of you. Your front leg should create a 90-degree angle.
  • Shift your upper body forward.
  • As you shift your upper body forward, you should begin to feel a good stretch in the hip and groin of the leg that is kneeling.
  • You can lean your upper body forward to avoid any discomfort in your lower back. Staying completely upright could cause you to arch you lower back as you shift your body forward.
  • Shift forward and hold for 30 seconds before switching legs.
