Elevated Standing Adductor Stretch

Muscles Involved: Adductor muscles (inner thighs)

Instructions

  • Stand with a bench, step, or box off to your left. The height can vary, but the higher the surface, the more of a stretch you can get.
  • Place your left foot on the elevated surface so the inside portion of your foot is touching the surface.
  • Keep your leg that is on the elevated surface straight.
  • Lean your upper body to the left, reaching for your left foot.
  • You should feel a stretch in your groin and inner thigh.
  • Hold this stretch for 30 seconds before switching to the right leg and repeating the above steps for the right side.
