Elevated Standing Hamstring Stretch

Instructions

  • Stand in front of a bench, step, or box. The height can vary, but the higher the surface, the more of a stretch you can get.
  • Place your left foot on the elevated surface so only your heel is on it.
  • Keep your leg that is on the elevated surface straight.
  • Lean your upper body forward until you feel a good stretch in your hamstrings.
  • You can try to reach for your toes.
  • Hold this stretch for 30 seconds before switching to the right leg.
